John Holland Has Been on More Milwaukee Roofs Than Any Contractor Alive

In 2005, John Holland started a roofing company in Milwaukee with one truck, one crew, and one rule: Would we put this on our mother's house?

That question has guided every decision since. It's why we're located at 3238 N Cambridge Ave in Milwaukee—not in a distant suburb, not in another state during winter. We live here. We see our work every day. We run into our customers at the grocery store, at school events, at Brewers games.

When you live where you work, quality isn't optional. It's survival.

Twenty years later, we've built 7,300 roofs in the Milwaukee area. We still get Christmas cards from customers we roofed in 2006. Not because we're the cheapest—we're not. But because when you choose Holland Exteriors, you're not buying a roof. You're buying twenty-five years of not thinking about your roof.

We've said no to 2,340 projects since we started. Roofs that didn't need replacing. Repairs that another contractor could do for less. Work that wouldn't pass the mother test. Every time we say no, we lose money. But we gain something more valuable: we can sleep at night.

And so can our customers.
